
Classification and Compensation Manager
The State of Oregon is looking for an experienced Classification and Compensation Manager to join our Human Resources team. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can navigate the complexities of the Oregon State Classification & Compensation System. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance in the areas of job classification, job evaluation, and compensation.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as three to five years' experience in a classification and compensation role. You must also possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.We are seeking a motivated and creative individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply Oregon State Classification & Compensation System regulations and policies.
- Manage day-to-day classification and compensation activities.
- Provide guidance and support to Human Resources team members on classification and compensation issues.
- Develop and maintain job classifications and job evaluation systems.
- Design and recommend compensation packages for staff.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and job analysis processes.
- Monitor job market trends and research best practices related to compensation.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings and workshops related to classification and compensation.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on classification and compensation systems and procedures.
