  1. Develop and implement strategies for the preservation and improvement of state parks in Nevada.
  2. Conduct regular assessments of park facilities, resources, and programs to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for action.
  3. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards.
  4. Collaborate with other park management specialists and staff to establish and enforce policies and procedures for park operations.
  5. Monitor and manage park budgets, including expenses and revenue, to ensure efficient use of resources.
  6. Work closely with local and state agencies to coordinate conservation efforts and address any environmental concerns.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and volunteers to foster support and involvement in park conservation efforts.
  8. Develop and implement educational programs and events to promote environmental awareness and conservation practices among park visitors.
  9. Conduct regular training and development programs for park staff to ensure they are up-to-date on park management principles and practices.
  10. Stay informed about current trends and advancements in park management and conservation and make recommendations for their implementation in state parks.
  11. Respond to and resolve any issues or complaints related to park management and operations.
  12. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and laws related to park management and conservation.
  13. Prepare and present reports on park operations, progress, and achievements to upper management and government officials.
  14. Act as a spokesperson for state parks, promoting their value and importance to the public.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance park management practices to ensure the long-term preservation of Nevada's state parks.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Park Management, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Park Management Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Park Management And Conservation.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Park Visitors, Staff, And Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic Plans For Park Management And Conservation, Including Budgeting And Resource Allocation.
