Job Description

  1. Collect and analyze data related to water quality, including conducting water sampling and laboratory analysis.
  2. Assist with field investigations, including conducting site visits and collecting data on water resources.
  3. Support the development and implementation of water resource management plans.
  4. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify and address water resource issues.
  5. Stay current on local, state, and federal regulations and policies related to water resources.
  6. Utilize GIS and other technologies to map and analyze water resource data.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations on water resource data and findings.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized records of water resource data and activities.
  9. Conduct outreach and education efforts to raise awareness and promote conservation of water resources.
  10. Identify potential areas for improvement in water resource management and make recommendations for solutions.
  11. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of water resource management strategies and make adjustments as needed.
  12. Communicate and collaborate with other departments and agencies on water resource management projects.
  13. Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in water resource management.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while conducting field work.
  15. Represent the state in meetings and conferences related to water resource management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Hydrology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Water Resources Management, Including Data Collection And Analysis.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Water Resources, Including The Clean Water Act And Safe Drinking Water Act.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders And Present Technical Information To Non-Technical Audiences.

  • Proficiency In Gis And Other Relevant Software For Data Management And Analysis.
