  1. Develop and implement waiver policies in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  2. Stay up-to-date on changes to state regulations and procedures related to waivers.
  3. Lead a team of policy analysts and collaborate with other departments to ensure policies are effectively implemented.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for policy improvement and make recommendations.
  5. Communicate policy changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of waiver policies and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to waiver policies.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policies.
  9. Train and educate staff on new policies and procedures related to waivers.
  10. Provide guidance and support to staff in understanding and implementing policies.
  11. Represent the organization in meetings and discussions related to waiver policies.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations on policy updates and changes.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of policy development and implementation.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in policy development and implementation.
  15. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of policy development and implementation.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Policy Development And Implementation: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of State Policies And Regulations, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Waiver Policies.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations: The Waiver Policy Lead Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Waivers, Such As The Medicaid Program And The Affordable Care Act.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Identify Potential Issues And Develop Solutions, As Well As The Ability To Evaluate Policy Options And Make Recommendations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Waiver Policy Lead Will Be Responsible For Working With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Government Officials, Community Organizations, And Individuals With Disabilities. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Convey Complex Policy Information And Build Relationships.

  • Project Management Experience: The Candidate Should Have Experience Managing Projects, Including Developing Timelines, Coordinating With Team Members, And Tracking Progress. This Role Will Require The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously And Ensure They Are Completed On Time And Within Budget.
