- Develop and implement housing programs that meet the needs of diverse communities in the State of Minnesota.
- Manage and coordinate housing projects, including planning, budgeting, and monitoring progress.
- Ensure compliance with housing policies, regulations, and funding requirements.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and residents.
- Identify and engage potential partners and resources to support housing initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform housing program development and decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate housing efforts and maximize resources.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with affordable housing developers and other housing providers.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members and assist in their professional development.
- Stay informed about current housing trends, policies, and best practices.
- Represent the State of Minnesota at housing-related events and conferences.
- Identify and address any barriers or challenges to achieving safe and stable housing for residents.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to housing programs and initiatives.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Minnesota in all housing-related activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Affordable Housing Development And/Or Housing Programs.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Housing Regulations And Funding Sources, Such As Hud, Lihtc, And Home.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders.
Experience In Project Management, Including Budgeting, Planning, And Coordinating With Multiple Agencies And Partners.
