  1. Develop and implement transportation plans, policies, and programs for the state of Minnesota.
  2. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including federal, state, and local agencies, to ensure alignment and compliance with transportation laws and regulations.
  3. Conduct research and analysis related to transportation systems and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior management on transportation issues and initiatives.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of transportation programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to inform transportation planning and decision-making.
  7. Communicate and present transportation plans and initiatives to stakeholders, including government officials and the public.
  8. Lead and manage transportation projects, including coordinating with internal and external teams and ensuring timely and successful completion.
  9. Mentor and train junior planners and provide guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  10. Represent the state of Minnesota at meetings, conferences, and other events related to transportation planning and policy.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning At A Senior Level, Preferably In A Governmental Agency Or Large Organization.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Or A Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Transportation Policies, Regulations, And Funding Programs.

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Long-Range Transportation Plans And Programs, As Well As Conducting Transportation Studies And Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Stakeholders From Diverse Backgrounds And Effectively Present Complex Information To Decision Makers.
