- Develop and implement safety and health policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplace environments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on safety and health issues.
- Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents, and make recommendations for preventative measures.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety and health topics to educate employees and promote a culture of safety.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and health programs, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in safety and health practices, and make recommendations for implementation.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure adherence to safety and health regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and health activities.
- Communicate with employees at all levels effectively to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Stay informed on changes in safety and health regulations and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts, such as safety consultants and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in emergency response planning and provide support during emergency situations.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential safety and health risks.
- Serve as a resource for employees on safety and health-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health, Public Health, Or A Related Field.
Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Certification.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Safety And Health Role, Preferably In A Public Sector Or Government Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Safety And Health Regulations, Including Osha, Epa, And Ada.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols And Procedures.
