  3. Monitor and evaluate the quality of construction materials and methods used in road projects.
  4. Review and analyze construction plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during construction.
  6. Maintain detailed records and documentation of inspections, findings, and any corrective actions taken.
  7. Conduct site visits and attend meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current transportation regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  9. Train and mentor junior inspectors and provide guidance and support as needed.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and the public to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  11. Participate in the development and improvement of inspection processes and procedures.
  12. Conduct research and analysis to identify potential areas for improvement in road construction projects.
  13. Work with other departments and agencies to coordinate and prioritize road construction projects.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while on construction sites.
  15. Represent the state in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Road Construction Techniques And Materials: A Qualified Road Construction Inspector Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Road Construction Techniques, Such As Paving, Grading, And Drainage, As Well As Knowledge Of Different Materials Used In Road Construction.

  • Experience With Construction Inspection: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Construction Inspection, Preferably In The Transportation Industry. This Experience Should Include Documenting Construction Progress, Conducting Quality Control Checks, And Ensuring Compliance With Project Plans And Specifications.

  • Familiarity With State And Federal Regulations: The State Of Minnesota Has Specific Regulations And Standards For Road Construction Projects, And A Qualified Road Construction Inspector Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Regulations, As Well As Any Federal Regulations That May Apply.

  • Strong Communication And Reporting Skills: As A Road Construction Inspector, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Project Managers, Contractors, And Government Officials.
