  1. Collect delinquent taxes and other debts owed to the state government in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Review and analyze financial records to determine the appropriate course of action for collections.
  3. Initiate contact with debtors through various communication channels, such as phone calls, letters, and emails.
  4. Educate debtors on their payment options and provide guidance on resolving their outstanding debts.
  5. Maintain accurate and organized records of all collection activities and progress.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to gather information and support collection efforts.
  7. Follow all state and federal laws and regulations regarding debt collection practices.
  8. Monitor and report on collection performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to debtors and handle any inquiries or disputes with professionalism and empathy.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency in revenue collections.
  11. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance in collection efforts.
  12. Work closely with legal counsel when necessary to pursue legal action against non-compliant debtors.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  14. Represent the state government in a professional manner and uphold its values and mission.
  15. Act as a role model and mentor to other team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
