- Maintain and upkeep parks and trails to ensure they are safe and accessible for visitors.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and cleaning of facilities.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to superiors.
- Interact with park visitors in a friendly and professional manner, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement plans for park improvements and special projects.
- Assist with the planning and execution of events and activities within the parks and trails.
- Uphold regulations and policies set by the State of Minnesota and ensure visitors are adhering to them.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for visitors, answering questions and providing information about park amenities and features.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of park usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and improvement of park maintenance skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Parks And Recreation Management, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Park Maintenance, Trail Development, Or Natural Resource Management.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Parks And Trails Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Park Visitors, Community Organizations, And Government Agencies.
Ability To Operate And Maintain Various Types Of Equipment, Including Vehicles, Power Tools, And Landscaping Tools.
