  1. Conduct materials testing and analysis in a laboratory setting according to established procedures and protocols.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing results through meticulous attention to detail.
  3. Operate laboratory equipment and instruments to conduct various tests and analyses.
  4. Prepare and maintain samples for testing and analysis.
  5. Record and analyze test data, and prepare reports for review by supervisors and project managers.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to discuss testing procedures, results, and any issues or concerns.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  8. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and advancements in materials testing and analysis techniques.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new testing methods and procedures.
  11. Assist with the development and maintenance of a materials database.
  12. Conduct quality control checks on materials used in construction and maintenance projects.
  13. Assist in the training and supervision of junior materials technicians.
  14. Manage and prioritize workload to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the State of Minnesota in all job duties and interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Or Manufacturing Setting.
