
Legal Administrative Assistant

- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing case files.
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain and update electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all documents.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal cases, both in person and over the phone.
- Assist with case management tasks, such as conducting legal research, drafting correspondence, and coordinating with other departments and agencies.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence, ensuring timely and appropriate distribution.
- Manage and track expenses and invoices related to legal cases and departmental operations.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials, and assist with preparation and organization of related materials and documents.
- Maintain knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and regulations to ensure accuracy in all tasks and communications.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the legal team and department as a whole.
- Attend and take minutes at meetings and conferences, and assist with preparing materials and presentations as needed.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions and tasks, maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the organization, actively promoting a culture of justice, fairness, and service to the community.
A Bachelor's Degree In Legal Studies Or A Related Field, Or Equivalent Work Experience In A Legal Setting.
Proficiency In Legal Terminology, Procedures, And Documentation.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines Simultaneously.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Draft And Proofread Legal Documents.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Applications, With The Ability To Learn New Systems Quickly.
