
Information Security Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security systems, policies, and procedures to safeguard our data and systems. - Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of security systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to ensure the organization's security measures are effective.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security measures into new and existing systems.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on information security best practices.
- Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for employees.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure the organization is prepared for potential security breaches.
- Work with external partners and vendors to ensure the security of shared data and systems.
- Investigate and resolve any security breaches or incidents, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the organization's data protection policies are in line with relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate with stakeholders about security risks and updates, and provide recommendations on how to address them.
- Lead security-related projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Information Security, Preferably In A Government Setting.
Familiarity With Industry Standards And Regulations Such As Nist, Iso, And Hipaa.
Strong Understanding Of Network Security, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Other Security Technologies.
Professional Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac Are Preferred.
