  1. Conduct epidemiological investigations and research in highly impacted communities to identify and understand health issues and trends.
  2. Collaborate with state and local health agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving health outcomes in highly impacted settings.
  3. Analyze and interpret data related to health outcomes in highly impacted communities, including identifying disparities and social determinants of health.
  4. Develop and implement interventions and programs to address health disparities and improve health outcomes in highly impacted communities.
  5. Provide technical assistance and support to local health departments and community organizations in implementing evidence-based interventions and programs.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs in reducing health disparities and improving health outcomes in highly impacted communities.
  7. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
  8. Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in epidemiology and public health, specifically related to highly impacted communities.
  9. Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and coordination in addressing health disparities in highly impacted communities.
  10. Participate in meetings, trainings, and other activities to support the overall goals and objectives of the public health department.
  11. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to colleagues and other staff members on issues related to highly impacted communities and epidemiology.
  13. Represent the public health department in meetings and events related to highly impacted communities and epidemiology.
  14. Serve as a liaison between the public health department and other agencies, organizations, and groups working on health disparities in highly impacted communities.
  15. Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes in highly impacted communities.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Epidemiology Or Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Highly Impacted Setting, Such As A Public Health Department, Infectious Disease Outbreak Response, Or Disaster Relief Efforts.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Epidemiological Principles, Methods, And Techniques, Including Data Analysis And Interpretation.

  • Experience Conducting Epidemiological Investigations And Implementing Disease Control Measures In A High-Stress Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Independently And Under Pressure.
