  1. Oversee and manage a team of forensic scientists in the Biology Section.

  10. Develop and maintain partnerships with other forensic laboratories and agencies for information sharing and collaboration.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to forensic biology and DNA analysis.
  12. Participate in research projects and contribute to the scientific community through publications and presentations.
  13. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  15. Represent the Biology Section and the State of Minnesota in professional conferences and meetings.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Forensic Science, Biology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Forensic Science Laboratory, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Forensic Biology Techniques, Including Dna Analysis And Serology.

  • Familiarity With Relevant State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Accreditation Standards.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments And Agencies.
