
Designated Coordinator - Skills Development Specialist

- Develop and implement individualized skills development plans for individuals with disabilities, based on their needs and goals.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate progress and make necessary adjustments to the skills development plan.
- Provide direct support and guidance to individuals with disabilities in various areas such as communication, social skills, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with other members of the team, such as case managers and therapists, to create a comprehensive support system for individuals.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of services provided and progress made by each individual.
- Advocate for individuals with disabilities and ensure their rights and needs are met.
- Continuously research and implement new strategies and techniques to improve skills development services.
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and person-centered approach.
- Attend training and workshops to stay updated on best practices and regulations related to skills development and disabilities.
- Monitor and adhere to all state and federal regulations and standards related to skills development services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving services and promoting a positive work culture.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for individuals with disabilities, promoting self-advocacy and self-determination.
- Adhere to the organization's code of ethics and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of skills development services.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Social Work, Psychology, Or Human Services.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disabilities Or Related Experience.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Governing Services For Individuals With Developmental Disabilities.
Strong Organizational And Leadership Skills.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Community Partners And Other Stakeholders.
