Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for ensuring compliance and accuracy? Do you have a strong understanding of policies and procedures? If so, the State of Minnesota is seeking an Auditor - Agency Policy Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct audits and reviews of agency policies and procedures to ensure they are in alignment with state and federal regulations. We are looking for a highly analytical and organized individual who can effectively communicate findings and recommendations to agency leadership.   1. Conduct audits and reviews of agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Maintain a strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
  3. Identify areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Communicate findings and recommendations to agency leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  5. Collaborate with agency staff to gather necessary information and data for audits.
  6. Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  7. Analyze data and documentation to identify trends and potential areas of concern.
  8. Create and maintain detailed reports of audit findings.
  9. Develop and implement training programs to educate agency staff on policies and procedures.
  10. Participate in meetings and discussions to provide expertise and guidance on policy and compliance issues.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards while conducting audits.
  12. Support the mission and values of the State of Minnesota and contribute to the improvement of services for citizens.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Auditing, Policy Analysis, Or Program Evaluation.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Government Agencies And Programs.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Identify Discrepancies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Present Findings And Recommendations To Senior Leadership.
