- Conduct investigations and assessments to determine the safety and well-being of children involved in the child welfare system.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of children and families in foster care.
- Collaborate with community partners and resources to support families in achieving permanency, whether through reunification, adoption, or other options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families in crisis.
- Advocate for the best interests of children and ensure their rights are protected.
- Communicate effectively with diverse individuals, including children, families, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Utilize trauma-informed care principles in all interactions and decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child welfare services.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss cases and develop plans.
- Identify and address any barriers to reunification or permanency for children and families.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with other CPS & Foster Care Services Specialists and team members to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of services provided and make necessary adjustments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Child Welfare Services, Preferably In Cps Or Foster Care.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Child Welfare.
Ability To Make Sound Decisions, Manage Crisis Situations, And Maintain Confidentiality.
