We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Juvenile Justice Youth Development Specialist I. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals who are involved in the juvenile justice system. - Develop and implement programs and services that support the growth and development of youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
- Provide guidance and support to at-risk youth, including counseling and mentoring.
- Promote rehabilitation and positive behavior change through evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with community partners to ensure a comprehensive network of resources for youth.
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans for each youth.
- Monitor and track progress of youth in the program and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions with youth.
- Communicate effectively with youth, their families, and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to their care.
- Stay informed on current research and best practices in juvenile justice and adolescent development.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with youth and their families.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Work collaboratively with other agency staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment for youth.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to working with youth in the juvenile justice system.
- Act as an advocate for youth and promote social justice and equity in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent the agency and its mission in a positive light.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Juvenile Justice And Youth Development.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working With At-Risk Youth In A Juvenile Justice Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Build Rapport With Youth And Their Families.
Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Setting, Collaborate With Other Professionals, And Handle Confidential Information With Discretion.
