- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to provide expert testimony and support criminal investigations.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in forensic science and implement new techniques as needed.
- Adhere to strict protocols and procedures to maintain the integrity of evidence.
- Write detailed reports documenting laboratory procedures, results, and conclusions.
- Manage multiple cases and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Train and mentor junior forensic scientists on laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to law enforcement agencies on evidence collection and preservation.
- Participate in court proceedings as an expert witness when necessary.

- Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory procedures and findings.

- Represent the State of Massachusetts and the field of forensic science in a professional and ethical manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Forensic Science, With 2 Years At A Supervisory Level.
Knowledge And Experience With A Variety Of Laboratory Equipment And Techniques, Including Dna Analysis, Toxicology, And Trace Evidence Analysis.
Familiarity With State And Federal Laws Related To Evidence Collection, Handling, And Analysis.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
