As the State Registrar, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the vital records and statistics for the state.   1. Oversee the management of vital records and statistics for the state of Georgia.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely collection, maintenance, and dissemination of vital records data.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of vital records.
  4. Collaborate with other state agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  5. Manage a team of data entry specialists and ensure their adherence to quality control standards.
  6. Serve as a point of contact for citizens, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders regarding vital records inquiries and requests.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of vital records management.
  8. Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to vital records and ensure compliance.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and represent the state in meetings and conferences.
  10. Provide training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on vital records policies and procedures.
  11. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to state officials and policymakers.
  12. Participate in budget planning and management for the vital records department.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and security of all vital records data in accordance with state and federal laws.
  14. Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies to improve the vital records management system.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the state of Georgia and promote exceptional public service.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Health Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Or Management Role In A Health-Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Vital Records And Registration.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Individuals And Stakeholders.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Data Management.
