
Program Regional Breastfeeding Liaison

- Develop and implement strategies to promote and support breastfeeding in the community.
- Provide lactation consulting services to mothers and families, including assessment, education, and support.
- Collaborate with hospitals and healthcare providers to improve breastfeeding policies and practices.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for breastfeeding initiatives and policies at the regional level.
- Conduct trainings and workshops for healthcare professionals and community members on the benefits and best practices of breastfeeding.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and agencies to enhance breastfeeding support and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate breastfeeding rates and outcomes in the region, and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices related to breastfeeding and public health.
- Participate in statewide meetings and initiatives related to breastfeeding promotion and support.
- Prepare and present reports on regional breastfeeding initiatives and outcomes to state officials and stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Public Health, Nursing, Or Lactation Consulting.
Certification As A Certified Lactation Counselor (Clc) Or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (Ibclc).
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In Maternal And Child Health, With A Focus On Breastfeeding Support.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Breastfeeding, Including The Affordable Care Act And The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With Experience In Community Outreach And Education.
