1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of a juvenile correctional facility.
2. Ensure the safety and security of all youth, staff, and visitors within the facility.
3. Supervise and provide guidance to a team of correctional officers.
4. Implement and enforce all policies and procedures as outlined by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
5. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with state regulations and standards.
6. Mentor and support the rehabilitation and development of at-risk youth in our care.
7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, staff, and other stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to provide comprehensive services to youth.
9. Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise within the facility.
10. Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents, staff performance, and youth progress.
11. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.
12. Serve as a role model and demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.
13. Ensure effective communication between all levels of staff and with external partners.
14. Uphold the mission and values of the Department of Juvenile Justice and promote a positive image of the organization.
