
Juvenile Correctional Lieutenant

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of a juvenile correctional facility.
- Ensure the safety and security of all youth, staff, and visitors within the facility.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of correctional officers.
- Implement and enforce all policies and procedures as outlined by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with state regulations and standards.
- Mentor and support the rehabilitation and development of at-risk youth in our care.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to provide comprehensive services to youth.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents, staff performance, and youth progress.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.
- Serve as a role model and demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.
- Ensure effective communication between all levels of staff and with external partners.
- Uphold the mission and values of the Department of Juvenile Justice and promote a positive image of the organization.
- Continuously assess and improve facility operations to enhance the rehabilitation and success of youth in our care.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Corrections, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role Within A Juvenile Corrections Facility.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Rules, And Regulations Governing Juvenile Corrections.
Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Make Difficult Decisions.
Excellent Communication, Conflict Resolution, And Problem-Solving Abilities.
