1. Maintain safety and security within correctional facilities by enforcing rules, regulations, and procedures.

4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of inmate activities and incidents.

6. Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas to prevent contraband from entering the facility.
7. Escort inmates to and from various locations within the facility, including medical appointments, court appearances, and recreational activities.
8. Monitor and control inmate movement and count to ensure accurate accountability.
9. Provide guidance and support to inmates, promoting positive behavior and facilitating rehabilitation.
10. Collaborate with other correctional staff to develop and implement strategies for maintaining a safe and secure environment.
11. Follow all departmental policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, in performing job duties.
12. Continuously assess and evaluate potential security risks and take necessary precautions to prevent them.
13. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and use sound judgement when making decisions.
14. Attend and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
