- Patrol and monitor designated areas of the campus to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Enforce campus rules and regulations, as well as state and federal laws.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases or disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records and reports of all incidents and activities.
- Collaborate with other campus departments and law enforcement agencies to address and resolve safety concerns.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need, including medical emergencies and safety escorts.
- Attend and participate in training and professional development activities to stay updated on laws, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a positive and approachable role model for the campus community.
- Continuously assess and evaluate potential risks and take proactive measures to prevent and mitigate them.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations and de-escalate conflicts when necessary.
- Uphold the values and standards of the campus police department and represent the State of Georgia in a positive manner.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and readiness to respond to emergencies.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives to promote campus safety and build positive relationships with the community.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Must Be At Least 21 Years Of Age.
Completion Of A Certified Law Enforcement Training Program.
Possess A Valid Driver's License With A Clean Driving Record.
Ability To Pass A Thorough Background Check And Drug Screening.
