
Assistant Attorney General - Civil Rights Section

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Attorney General. - Conduct legal research and analysis related to civil rights laws and cases.
- Represent the State of Georgia in civil rights litigation, including drafting legal documents, attending court hearings, and arguing cases.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, government agencies, and community organizations to address civil rights issues and develop strategies for protecting civil rights.
- Investigate complaints and allegations of civil rights violations and take appropriate action.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to government agencies, law enforcement, and other entities on civil rights matters.
- Educate the public on civil rights laws and protections through outreach and education programs.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and policy developments related to civil rights and make recommendations for advocacy efforts.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
- Stay updated on current civil rights laws and trends through continuing education and professional development.
- Uphold the values and mission of the Civil Rights Section and represent the State of Georgia with professionalism and integrity.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Admission To The State Bar Of Georgia.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Civil Rights And/Or Discrimination.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Civil Rights Laws And Regulations.
Excellent Oral And Written Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Present Legal Arguments In Court.
