
Adjunct Instructor - Associate Degree Nursing

- Develop and deliver engaging and informative lectures and course materials for students in the Associate Degree Nursing program.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as hands-on demonstrations, group discussions and simulations, to enhance the learning experience of students.
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the program's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development as nursing professionals.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support as they navigate their nursing education.
- Keep abreast of current trends and advancements in the nursing field and incorporate them into the curriculum to ensure students are receiving the most up-to-date education.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and program coordinators to continuously improve the program and ensure its compliance with state and national standards.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in nursing education.
- Provide academic and career advising to students, helping them to identify their strengths and areas for improvement and develop a plan for success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes diversity, cultural competence, and ethical and professional behavior.
- Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, including those related to student privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and other relevant information, and submit them in a timely manner to the program coordinator.
- Serve as an ambassador for the program and the nursing profession, promoting its values and goals to the community and potential students.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional growth, seeking out opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of nursing.
Valid Nursing License: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Georgia.
Minimum Educational Requirement: A Master's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. Candidates With A Doctorate In Nursing Are Preferred.
Teaching Experience: Previous Experience Teaching In A Nursing Program, Particularly At The Associate Degree Level, Is Highly Desirable For This Position.
Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Recent Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Be In A Specific Area Of Nursing, Such As Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Or Obstetrics.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For An Adjunct Instructor In Nursing. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Students, Colleagues, And Healthcare Professionals.
