  1. Provide expert guidance and support to individuals with disabilities as they navigate their vocational rehabilitation journey.
  2. Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans for clients based on their needs and abilities.
  3. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' vocational goals and identify potential barriers to employment.
  4. Advocate for equal opportunities and inclusive employment practices for individuals with disabilities.
  5. Collaborate with other professionals, such as counselors and therapists, to provide holistic support for clients.
  6. Monitor clients' progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed to ensure success.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current vocational rehabilitation principles, techniques, and resources.
  8. Network and build relationships with employers to increase job placement opportunities for clients.
  9. Educate employers on workplace accommodations and disability awareness.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  11. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and collaborate on solutions.
  12. Serve as a resource and provide guidance to less experienced vocational rehabilitation staff.
  13. Comply with all state and federal regulations and policies related to vocational rehabilitation services.
  14. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  15. Promote independence and employment success for individuals with disabilities through a person-centered approach.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling Or A Related Field

  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) Credential From The Commission On Rehabilitation Counselor Certification

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Or Related Field

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Vocational Rehabilitation, Including The Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada)

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Collaborate With Other Agencies And Stakeholders.
