  • Conduct vocational assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for clients with disabilities
  • Provide counseling and support to clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to employment
  • Collaborate with employers, community resources, and other agencies to facilitate job placement and job retention for clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and services provided
  • Stay informed on current laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of vocational rehabilitation
  • Participate in team meetings and case reviews to ensure quality services and coordination of care
  • Act as a mentor and resource for junior vocational rehabilitation counselors
  • Advocate for clients' rights and needs in the workplace and community
  • Implement and monitor accommodations to ensure successful integration and retention in the workforce
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust rehabilitation plans to meet clients' changing needs and goals
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the job
  • Uphold the ethical standards of the profession and maintain confidentiality of client information.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) Or Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc) In The State Of Florida.

  • Master's Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Preferably In A Government Or State Agency Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Vocational Rehabilitation, Disability Rights, And Employment Services.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Assess And Develop Individualized Vocational Plans For Clients With Disabilities.
