SENIOR VOCATIONAL REHAB COUNSELOR

- Conduct assessments and evaluations of individuals with disabilities to determine their vocational goals and needs
- Develop individualized vocational rehabilitation plans for clients, incorporating their strengths, interests, and abilities
- Provide counseling and guidance to clients to support them in achieving their vocational goals and overcoming barriers
- Collaborate with employers, educational institutions, and other service providers to identify job training and placement opportunities for clients
- Monitor and evaluate client progress and make necessary adjustments to the rehabilitation plan as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of vocational rehabilitation
- Provide training and mentorship to junior vocational rehab counselors
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in the workplace
- Promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for clients and colleagues
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
Master's Degree In Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Or A Related Field, Such As Psychology Or Social Work.
Certification As A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) Through The Commission On Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (Crcc).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, With At Least 3 Years In A Supervisory Or Senior Role.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Including The Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada) And The Rehabilitation Act.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Clients, Employers, And Other Stakeholders To Develop Individualized Rehabilitation Plans And Facilitate Successful Vocational Outcomes.
