  1. Develop and implement nutrition programs and policies that promote healthy lifestyles and improve public health in the State of Florida.
  2. Lead and direct a team of nutritionists to effectively execute nutrition programs and policies.
  3. Conduct research and stay updated on current trends and best practices in nutrition and public health.
  4. Collaborate with other public health professionals and community organizations to develop partnerships and initiatives that support healthy eating habits.
  5. Provide guidance and support to local health departments and community organizations in implementing nutrition programs and policies.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs and policies, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  7. Analyze data and prepare reports to communicate program outcomes and impact to stakeholders.
  8. Develop and manage budgets for nutrition programs and ensure efficient use of resources.
  9. Facilitate trainings and workshops for healthcare professionals, community leaders, and the general public on nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
  10. Represent the State of Florida at meetings, conferences, and other events related to nutrition and public health.
  11. Stay informed on federal and state regulations related to nutrition and ensure compliance in all nutrition programs and policies.
  12. Mentor and provide guidance to junior nutritionists and interns.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and agencies within the state government to align nutrition efforts with overall public health goals.
  14. Stay up-to-date on emerging research and developments in the field of nutrition and public health to continually improve and innovate programs and policies.
  15. Maintain a strong commitment to promoting health equity and addressing health disparities within the state.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Public Health Nutrition Or A Related Field, Such As Dietetics Or Health Promotion.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Public Health Nutrition, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Public Health Principles, Policies, And Practices, As Well As Current Trends And Issues In Nutrition.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Lead Teams Towards Common Goals.
