Job Description

Welcome to the State of Florida's Human Resources Services team! We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Human Resources Services Program Specialist to join our dynamic and diverse organization. As a Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing various HR programs and services for our state agency. We are looking for a seasoned professional who is well-versed in HR policies, procedures, and laws, and has a passion for providing exceptional customer service to our employees.   1. Manage and oversee various human resources programs and services for the state agency.
  2. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR programs and services.
  5. Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on HR policies, procedures, and laws.
  6. Lead and participate in recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
  7. Manage employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  8. Ensure accurate and timely processing of HR-related transactions, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR laws and regulations, and make recommendations for policy and procedure updates as needed.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, managers, unions, and vendors.
  11. Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide reports to management to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to employees, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Mentor and train junior HR team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  14. Stay current on industry best practices and innovative HR strategies to continuously improve the HR function within the state agency.
  15. Represent the state agency in meetings, conferences, and other events related to HR programs and services.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, With At Least 3 Years In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role.

  • Certifications In Human Resources Such As Shrm-Cp Or Phr.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of State And Federal Employment Laws And Regulations.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Hr Policies, Procedures, And Programs.
