Welcome to the State of Florida's Department of Law Enforcement! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Crime Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As the Senior Crime Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of our communities.   1. Conduct thorough and accurate analysis of criminal intelligence data to identify patterns, trends, and potential threats to public safety.
  2. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to gather and analyze intelligence information and develop strategic plans to combat crime.
  3. Utilize a variety of tools and techniques, such as data mining and link analysis, to identify connections between individuals, organizations, and criminal activities.
  4. Prepare and present detailed intelligence reports, briefings, and presentations to department leadership and external partners.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current crime trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in criminal intelligence analysis to continuously improve department strategies and processes.
  6. Manage and maintain databases and systems used for collecting and storing intelligence data.
  7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, assisting with their professional development and ensuring their work meets department standards.
  8. Serve as a subject matter expert on crime intelligence analysis, providing expertise and support to law enforcement personnel and other stakeholders.
  9. Collaborate with legal teams to ensure intelligence gathering and analysis procedures comply with legal standards and protocols.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive and confidential information.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to share intelligence information and coordinate efforts.
  12. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of crime intelligence analysis.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Criminology, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least Five Years Of Experience In Crime Analysis, Intelligence Gathering, And/Or Law Enforcement.

  • Proficiency In Utilizing Crime Analysis Software And Databases, Such As Arcgis, Ibm I2, And Ncic.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Interpret Complex Data To Identify Patterns And Trends.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Procedures Related To Criminal Intelligence Gathering And Analysis.
