Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring fair and equitable compensation for property owners while also protecting the interests of the state.To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in property appraisal or real estate valuation.   1. Conduct appraisals and evaluations of real property for the acquisition of right of way for transportation projects.
  2. Use your strong understanding of property values to determine fair and equitable compensation for property owners.
  3. Ensure that all appraisals and evaluations are conducted in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for appraisals.
  5. Utilize your attention to detail and analytical skills to accurately assess property values and identify potential issues.
  6. Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation of all appraisals and evaluations.
  7. Communicate effectively with property owners, government officials, and other stakeholders to explain appraisal processes and findings.
  8. Stay current on industry trends, laws, and regulations related to property appraisal and valuation.
  9. Travel to various locations as needed to conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of properties.
  10. Work independently to manage your workload and meet project deadlines.
  11. Collaborate with legal and acquisition teams to resolve any issues related to property appraisal and valuation.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of the State of Florida in all aspects of your work.
  13. Maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to all safety regulations while traveling for work.
  14. Use your expertise to make recommendations for improvements to appraisal processes and procedures.
  15. Continuously improve your professional skills and knowledge through training and development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Real Estate, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Real Estate Appraisal, Preferably With An Emphasis On Right Of Way Valuation.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Right Of Way Acquisitions.
