
Regional Recovery Coordinator

- Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans for the assigned region in the State of Florida.
- Coordinate with various state agencies, local governments, and community organizations to identify and address the needs of disaster-affected communities and individuals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all recovery efforts within the assigned region, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders and ensuring effective communication channels.
- Conduct assessments and analyze data to identify recovery needs and gaps in services, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with federal and non-governmental organizations to secure resources and funding for recovery projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and track progress of recovery efforts, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to engage community members and stakeholders in the recovery process.
- Provide guidance and support to local governments and community organizations in developing and implementing recovery plans.
- Train and supervise a team of recovery specialists and volunteers to assist in recovery efforts.
- Stay current on disaster recovery best practices and trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of recovery processes and procedures.
- Represent the State of Florida in disaster recovery meetings, conferences, and events.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recovery efforts, including budgets, expenditures, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to disaster recovery.
- Act as a liaison between state agencies, local governments, and community organizations to facilitate collaboration and coordination of recovery efforts.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Florida and the Regional Recovery Coordinator position in all interactions and tasks.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management Or Disaster Recovery.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Disaster Recovery Programs, Policies, And Procedures.
Demonstrated Experience In Coordinating And Managing Disaster Recovery Operations At The Regional Level.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multiple Stakeholders And Agencies.
