- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure the safety and well-being of Florida's communities.
- Coordinate with various agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective disaster response and recovery efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate existing disaster recovery plans to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disasters.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in disaster recovery efforts.
- Communicate with local, state, and federal officials to coordinate disaster recovery efforts and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on current disaster recovery strategies and technologies to inform and improve the state's recovery plans.
- Collaborate with community organizations and other partners to develop and implement disaster preparedness initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on disaster recovery plans to various stakeholders and agencies.
- Serve as a liaison between the state and federal government for disaster recovery efforts.
- Ensure that all disaster recovery plans are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery plans and activities.
- Train and educate staff, volunteers, and community members on disaster recovery procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide support during disasters as needed.
- Continuously assess and improve disaster recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management, Disaster Recovery, Or Crisis Response.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Disaster Recovery Policies, Procedures, And Regulations.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Disaster Recovery Plans, Including Coordination With Local, State, And Federal Agencies.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Complex Information.
