- Develop and implement individualized plans for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ensure the overall well-being and quality of care for clients.
- Collaborate with other team members, including caregivers, therapists, and medical professionals, to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
- Regularly assess and monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Stay updated on best practices and regulations in the field of disability services.
- Advocate for clients and their needs within the organization and in the community.
- Provide guidance and support to caregivers and families of clients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards for the care of individuals with disabilities.
- Handle any crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of care and services provided to clients.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the rights and privacy of clients.
- Stay informed about available resources and services in the community and connect clients with appropriate support.
- Represent the organization and its mission in a positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Social Work, Psychology, Or Criminal Justice.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disabilities And/Or Mental Health Disorders.
Knowledge Of And Experience With State And Federal Regulations Related To Developmental Disabilities And Mental Health Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams.
Current Certification As A Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (Qidp) Through The Florida Developmental Disabilities Council.
