  1. Provide excellent patient care by performing dental cleanings, screenings, and other preventive procedures.
  2. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and promote good dental health practices.
  3. Administer local anesthesia and take dental x-rays as needed.
  4. Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the oral health team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest dental hygiene techniques, products, and regulations.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any oral health concerns or issues.
  10. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with patients and colleagues.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
  12. Attend continuing education courses and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Assist with scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  14. Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with program development.
  16. Follow all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to dental hygiene practice.
  17. Work independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals and objectives.
  18. Continuously assess and improve processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  19. Represent the state of Florida in a professional and positive manner.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or program manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Licensure As A Dental Hygienist In The State Of Florida.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Dental Hygienist In A Clinical Setting.

  • Proficiency In Dental Hygiene Procedures, Including Scaling, Polishing, And Fluoride Treatments.

  • Knowledge Of Dental Anatomy, Oral Health Diseases, And Proper Infection Control Practices.

  • Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Educate And Communicate With Patients About Oral Hygiene And Treatment Plans.
