  1. Investigate criminal activities: Conduct thorough and detailed investigations into criminal activities within the state of Florida.
  2. Uphold the law: Serve as a representative of the State of Florida in enforcing laws and regulations, and ensure the safety and security of the public.
  3. Protect communities: Use your skills and knowledge to protect communities and prevent crime, through effective investigation and enforcement.
  4. Work with law enforcement agencies: Collaborate and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies and departments to gather information and evidence for cases.
  5. Maintain records and documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of investigations, interviews, and evidence, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Interview witnesses and suspects: Conduct interviews with witnesses and suspects to gather information and evidence for ongoing investigations.
  7. Gather and analyze evidence: Collect and analyze physical and digital evidence to support criminal investigations and provide findings to prosecuting attorneys.
  8. Testify in court: Prepare and present evidence in court cases and provide expert testimony when necessary.
  9. Stay updated on laws and procedures: Continuously stay informed about changes in laws and regulations, and update investigative techniques and procedures as required.
  10. Communicate effectively: Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to provide updates on cases, share information, and seek guidance when needed.
  11. Adhere to ethical standards: Maintain a high level of integrity and adhere to ethical standards in all job duties and interactions.
  12. Training and development: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance investigative skills and stay current with best practices and technologies.
  13. Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  14. Respond to emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations and provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies when needed.
  15. Represent the department: Represent the department and the State of Florida in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Or Forensic Science.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working As A Law Enforcement Investigator Or In A Related Field.

  • Possession Of A Valid Florida Driver's License And Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Procedures Related To Law Enforcement Investigations.

  • Proficiency In Investigative Techniques, Including Evidence Collection, Surveillance, And Interviewing Witnesses And Suspects.
