  1. Conduct intake interviews with juvenile offenders and their families to gather information about their background, behavior, and needs.
  2. Develop individualized case plans for each juvenile offender, taking into consideration their unique circumstances and risk factors.
  3. Monitor and supervise juvenile offenders while they are on probation, ensuring they comply with court-ordered requirements and conditions.
  4. Conduct regular home visits and meetings with juvenile offenders and their families to assess progress and address any issues or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with community resources and service providers to connect juvenile offenders and their families to necessary support and resources.
  6. Use effective communication and counseling techniques to build rapport and trust with juvenile offenders and their families.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation, including progress reports, court reports, and case notes.
  8. Attend court hearings and provide testimony as needed to inform judges on the progress and compliance of juvenile offenders.
  9. Respond to crisis situations and de-escalate conflicts between juvenile offenders and their families.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and current laws and policies related to juvenile probation.
  11. Promote restorative justice practices and advocate for the rehabilitation and well-being of juvenile offenders.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with colleagues and supervisors and participating in team meetings and activities.
  13. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with juvenile offenders and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Juvenile Justice And Probation.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With At-Risk Youth Or In The Criminal Justice System.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With Diverse Populations, Including Youth, Families, And Community Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Pass A Thorough Background Check And Drug Test.
