- Provide administrative support to judges and court staff, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing documents.
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors to the court, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain and update court records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and distribute court documents, including summonses, subpoenas, and warrants, in a timely manner.
- Assist with court proceedings, such as taking notes, recording proceedings, and maintaining courtroom decorum.
- Process and file legal documents according to court procedures and deadlines.
- Collaborate with other court staff and legal professionals to ensure efficient and effective court operations.
- Provide support to jurors, witnesses, and other individuals involved in court proceedings.
- Perform research and analysis as needed to assist judges and attorneys in their cases.
- Maintain knowledge of court rules, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to court users.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by court management.
- Uphold the ethical standards of the court and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all individuals involved in court proceedings, including judges, attorneys, witnesses, and members of the public.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe and secure court environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Political Science, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Court Setting, Preferably As A Judicial Support Specialist 1.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Rules, And Regulations Pertaining To Court Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Judges, Attorneys, And Other Court Personnel.
Proficiency In Computer Applications Such As Microsoft Office And Case Management Systems.
