
FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER

- Provide support and resources to families in need, including but not limited to financial assistance, counseling, and referrals to community resources.
- Develop and implement individualized plans for families based on their specific needs and goals.
- Conduct home visits and assessments to evaluate the needs of families and identify potential risks or challenges.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families.
- Advocate for families and connect them with services and resources that promote their well-being and stability.
- Educate families on parenting skills, healthy relationships, and other relevant topics to help them achieve their goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of families and make adjustments to the support plan as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and services provided to families.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in family support.
- Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner, promoting its mission and services to the community.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations related to family support services.
- Continuously assess the needs of families and make recommendations for program improvements or changes.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address gaps in services for families.
- Serve as a liaison between families and the agency, advocating for their needs and ensuring their voices are heard.
- Support and promote a positive and inclusive work environment, valuing diversity and cultural sensitivity in all interactions with families and colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Family Studies, Or A Related Field.
Experience Working With Families In Crisis Or At-Risk Populations.
Knowledge Of Child Welfare Systems And Community Resources.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Ability To Maintain Confidentiality And Adhere To Ethical Standards In Working With Families.
