- Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainability and protect the environment, in alignment with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with various departments and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental issues and provide guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to assess compliance with environmental regulations and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare reports and documentation on environmental compliance and progress towards sustainability goals.
- Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent or minimize negative impacts.
- Facilitate training and education programs to increase awareness and understanding of environmental laws and policies.
- Participate in meetings and conferences to represent the state's environmental initiatives and advocate for sustainable practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to develop and implement joint environmental initiatives.
- Continuously assess and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for policy changes.
- Communicate with the public and stakeholders about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and represent the state in environmental matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervising managers.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Compliance Or Management.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Environmental Regulations And Policies.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Environmental Information To Various Stakeholders.
