  1. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the sustainable use and conservation of Florida's environment.
  2. Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
  3. Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals to achieve department goals and objectives.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify potential environmental issues and develop solutions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate efforts and promote environmental initiatives.
  6. Provide expertise and guidance to staff and stakeholders on environmental matters.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and engagement.
  8. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental protection.
  9. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to department leadership and external stakeholders.
  10. Develop and manage budgets for environmental projects and initiatives.
  11. Ensure all environmental activities are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about environmental issues.
  13. Coordinate and oversee environmental assessments and audits.
  14. Identify and implement best practices to improve environmental management processes.
  15. Foster a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the department and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Environmental Laws And Regulations.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Ecology, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Environmental Management Or A Similar Role.

  • Experience Managing And Implementing Environmental Programs And Initiatives.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multiple Stakeholders.
