- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the sustainable use and conservation of Florida's environment.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
- Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential environmental issues and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate efforts and promote environmental initiatives.
- Provide expertise and guidance to staff and stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and engagement.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental protection.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to department leadership and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage budgets for environmental projects and initiatives.
- Ensure all environmental activities are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about environmental issues.
- Coordinate and oversee environmental assessments and audits.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve environmental management processes.
- Foster a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the department and the community.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Environmental Laws And Regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Ecology, Or A Related Field.
At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Environmental Management Or A Similar Role.
Experience Managing And Implementing Environmental Programs And Initiatives.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multiple Stakeholders.
