
EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

- Conduct intake assessments to determine the individual's employment needs and goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to identify job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Provide career counseling and job readiness support to individuals, including resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Collaborate with vocational rehabilitation counselors and other support services to ensure a comprehensive and individualized approach to employment.
- Utilize community resources and networks to expand job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Assist individuals with disabilities in navigating the application and hiring process.
- Conduct job coaching and on-the-job training to support individuals in maintaining employment.
- Monitor individual progress and provide necessary support and accommodations to ensure job retention.
- Document all interactions and progress in case management system.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay informed on best practices and employment trends.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Advocate for individuals with disabilities and promote inclusive employment practices in the community.
- Attend job fairs and networking events to promote employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and employers to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Meet and exceed performance goals and objectives set by the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Diverse Populations.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Recruitment, Staffing, Or Employee Relations.
Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Employment Laws And Regulations.
Experience Working With Job Seekers, Including Individuals With Disabilities Or Barriers To Employment.
