
Eligibility Specialist I

- Ensure confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of all applicant information in accordance with state and federal privacy laws.
- Adhere to deadlines: Meet deadlines for application processing and eligibility determinations to ensure timely access to resources for applicants.
- Troubleshoot issues: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in eligibility determinations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Uphold standards: Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with applicants, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with training: Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure consistency in eligibility determinations.
- Continuously improve: Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to leadership to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of eligibility determinations.
- Support agency goals: Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the agency by ensuring eligible individuals and families have access to necessary resources and services.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Public Administration, Or A Related Field
Knowledge Of State And Federal Eligibility Guidelines For Government Assistance Programs
Experience With Conducting Interviews And Gathering Information From Clients
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Clients And Other Stakeholders.
