  1. Process and review applications for various state programs to determine eligibility according to established guidelines.
  2. Conduct interviews and gather necessary information from applicants to assess their eligibility.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicant information and eligibility determinations.
  4. Communicate effectively with applicants and other team members to provide information and assistance regarding eligibility requirements.
  5. Stay updated on changes in eligibility criteria and program regulations to ensure accurate and timely determinations.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to gather necessary information and ensure efficient delivery of services.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to citizens by addressing their inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Identify and report any potential fraud or abuse in the application process to prevent misuse of state resources.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to eligibility determination.
  10. Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to eligibility determination and state programs.
  11. Adhere to confidentiality and privacy policies to protect the personal information of applicants.
  12. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  13. Support the overall mission and goals of the State of Florida by contributing to the success of the eligibility determination process.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In Eligibility Determination For Government Assistance Programs.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Eligibility Criteria For Government Assistance Programs.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations.

  • Proficient In Computer Skills And Ability To Navigate Complex Databases And Software Programs.
