- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Department of Juvenile Justice facilities and programs.
- Develop and maintain efficient systems and procedures to ensure smooth functioning of operations.
- Monitor and track progress of programs and facilities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Manage and allocate resources, including budget, staff, and equipment, to support the operations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports related to operations.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of current operations and make recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the Department of Juvenile Justice and external agencies to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any issues.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Uphold the mission and values of the Department of Juvenile Justice in all aspects of the job.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Juvenile Justice Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Florida's Juvenile Justice System And Laws.
Ability To Work Independently, Make Critical Decisions, And Handle Stressful Situations.
