  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to improve and enhance the transportation systems in the state of Florida.
  2. Lead and manage a team of transportation professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community members to gather input and support for transportation development plans.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify current and future transportation needs and trends.
  5. Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for transportation development projects.
  6. Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, such as roads, highways, bridges, and public transportation systems.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards in transportation development projects.
  8. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations to improve transportation systems.
  9. Represent the state of Florida in transportation development discussions and negotiations at the local, state, and national levels.
  10. Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve transportation systems in the state.
  11. Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders.
  12. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the transportation development team.
  13. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and development.
  14. Monitor and report on the performance of transportation development projects and make adjustments as needed.
  15. Ensure the timely completion of all projects and initiatives within budget and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Transportation Development, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Transportation Policies, Regulations, And Funding Programs.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments And Agencies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Transportation Issues To Stakeholders And The Public.
