  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to promote excellence in education in the fields of social studies and arts.
  2. Collaborate with other education professionals to ensure alignment of social studies and arts curriculum with state standards and best practices.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of educators and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Conduct research and analysis on current and emerging trends in social studies and arts education, and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Manage and allocate resources effectively to support the implementation of social studies and arts programs.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including educators, parents, and community organizations, to promote understanding and support for social studies and arts education.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social studies and arts programs, and make necessary adjustments to improve student outcomes.
  8. Represent the state of Florida at local, state, and national conferences and events to share best practices and advocate for the importance of social studies and arts education.
  9. Stay up-to-date on legislative changes and policies related to social studies and arts education, and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  10. Serve as a resource and advisor to school districts and educators on social studies and arts curriculum development and implementation.
  11. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to state education officials and other stakeholders.
  12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the social studies and arts department.
  13. Stay informed about advancements and developments in the field of social studies and arts education, and incorporate them into program design and implementation.
  14. Collaborate with other departments within the state education agency to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  15. Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and dedication to promoting excellence in education.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Studies, Arts, Education, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role, Preferably In An Educational Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of State And National Standards For Social Studies And Arts Curriculum.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Innovative And Effective Instructional Strategies For Social Studies And Arts Education.
